Ingredients
  • For the Cake:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 stick margarine
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • For the Icing:
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans if desired.
Instructions
  1. Bring to boil water, oil and margarine.
  2. Put baking soda in buttermilk.
  3. Mix dry ingredients , pour in liquid, then eggs.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Bake in 350 degree oven in oblong baking pan.
  6. For the icing, melt margarine, add other ingredients.
  7. Mix well and top cake while the cake is warm.
Notes
This cake is really moist. The icing does get hard, kinda like fudge.
